A successful Software Development Manager should be highly autonomous with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize program deliverables. Build and manage a team of Software Engineers.

Solve challenging problems at significant scale
Work on innovative systems that are in their beginning stages
Work closely with product management and other business partners to define strategy and requirements
Have regular communication with senior management on status, risks and product strategy
Be a thought leader, where you don't just know how to solve the problem, you prove it by leading team to build the solution.
Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach technical staff.
Interface with our external customers to understand requirements, set priorities and communicate direction and progress.
Own all operational metrics and support for your team’s software.
Manage the agile development process and methodology to deliver value to customers.
Help develop long-term development and business technology strategies.
Communicate progress through artful storytelling - taking recommendations on critical initiatives and guiding Leaders to take action on those findings
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5+ years experience developing software.
3+ years experience managing and developing software development teams
Experience forming teams and recruiting software engineers(optional)
Experience with Agile software development methodologies (optional)
